Hispanic Family Foundation
We are looking for a vocational counselor to help our clients understand their capabilities and develop career goals.
The mission of the Hispanic Family Foundation is to work through our platforms of— Economic, Education, Social Services, Advocacy and Culture—to provide programs that strengthen the Nashville Hispanic community.

Job Duties:
  • Collect and organize information about exploring and evaluating individuals' education, training, work history, interests, skills, and personality traits.
  • Meet with families and individuals to evaluate their situations, including career goals.
  • Meet with individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations.
  • Informally counsel individuals concerning their personal and social adjustment and integration to living in the United States.
  • Informally counsel individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations.
  • Organize implementation of various social service programs to facilitate orientation of Hispanic individuals and assist them in making adjustments and establishing intelligent life goals to better transition to the U.S. lifestyle as it pertains to their career goals.
  • Recommend taking additional education or career training courses and develop an individual career improvement plan for clients.
  • Serve as liaison between individuals and potential employers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Education Science.
  • Conversational Spanish language skills required to communicate with recent arrivals to the United States.
